National Geographic in India, under its award-winning series - Mega Icons, is all set to bring forth the journey of Pawan Munjal and brand Hero MotoCorp.

Premiering on October 6, 2022, at 8.30 pm on National Geographic Channel, the film titled ‘Mega Icons: Dr. Pawan Munjal’ delves deep into the genesis of Munjal-led Hero MotoCorp that was one of the brands to revolutionise the mobility sector and decode the many successful milestones of the brand, even as it continues to lead the industry. 

Capturing Munjal’s journey from a small town in a Punjab to becoming one of India’s most celebrated businessmen, the 22-minute docu-film also provides an insight into the success of a company that is the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters.

It will also shed light on the company’s plans to launch a slew of electric and future ready vehicles - from reducing reliance on fossil fuels to looking at alternatives such as hydrogen, solar power, and wind power.

“With Mega Icons, it has been our endeavour to bring forth inspiring and insightful stories of successful personalities; motivating and guiding our audiences to follow their path of success. With this special edition, we extracted the exciting and impactful moments from the life journey of Dr. Munjal along and combined it with our rich storytelling of National Geographic with an aim to empower and enlighten our viewers along with celebrating the journey of Hero MotoCorp,” said a National Geographic spokesperson.

From establishing its supremacy in the world of bicycles to being the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, Hero has carved out its own identity in the competitive automotive market.

The film highlights this transition journey of embracing newer technologies and setting new milestones. The film captures Hero MotoCorp’s approach of building a future that is going to be electric, collaborative, and modular.
