APAC Effie Awards 2023: Leo Burnett Mumbai at No. 2 in 'Agency of the Year' tally

The APAC Effie Awards 2023 winners were announced on September 29, 2023, in Singapore.

Leo Burnett Mumbai grabbed the second place in the ‘Agency of the Year’ tally.

India bagged eight Effies – Leo Burnett got 5 Golds, Ogilvy won a Gold and a Silver and McCann earned a Silver.

Altogether, 71 Effie winners were awarded metals – 1 Grand Effie, 18 Golds, 28 Silvers and 24 Bronzes.

Gold wins from India

India won six Gold this year. Out of the six Gold metals, Leo Burnett Mumbai grabbed five and Ogilvy Mumbai one.

CHEP Melbourne bagged the Grand Effie for their work with the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

Ogilvy was crowned Agency Network of the Year for the fifth year running, winning 4 Golds, 13 Silvers and 7 Bronzes.

Special Auckland swept both Agency of the Year and Independent Agency of the Year, making it their second time achieving this double win.

Mondelēz International took home Marketer of the Year yet again, with Cadbury and Oreo contributing to the win. At the same time, Whisper walked away with the Brand of the Year and 3 Gold Effies under their belt for their stunning campaign, Changing Education to Keep Girls in School.
