National Geographic Channel is launching documentary-style reality show on the Nissan GT Academy on Sunday, March 29

Get ready to watch armchair video gamers graduate to professional racing drivers with the world's premier motorsport reality series – Nissan GT Academy. Created jointly by Nissan and Sony Playstation, Nissan GT Academy is an exciting show that demonstrates motorsports fan the fastest way to turn their dreams into reality.

Nissan GT Academy will combine grueling challenges at the legendary Silverstone circuit, with F1 and racing icons such as Johnny Herbert and Karun Chandhok presiding over exciting tests of stamina, skill and endurance.

Produced by M2M, Grand Central and Miditech, the four-part documentary will premiere on Sunday, March 29, 2015 and will air every Sunday at 6 pm.

Synopsis for Episode # 1

From 5,000 gamers across India, 28 make it to the National finals in the pink city of Jaipur. Which five gamers will represent India at Silverstone, the international race camp for Nissan GT Academy 2014? The assault course and traffic challenge would together test their physical and mental calibre to the limit. Eventually, only four would reach the next level, while one returns home.

The challenges get more exciting and nerve-racking. What is in store for Team India at the Laser and Gymkhana Challenges? Which three will move forward? Watch on as an episode of sweat, toil and trauma plays out with a double dose of drama on Nissan GT Academy 2014.

Synopsis for Episode # 3

An episode that tests the participants on key driving skills of control, precision and timing. Do the drivers have it in them to overcome Stock Car and Tank War challenges? Which two Indians will eventually lead India into the final episode of Nissan GT Academy? This is an episode of intense emotional outbursts and some close encounters of hits and misses.

Synopsis for Episode # 4

The end is near, but will it bring glory? The Buggy challenge and the Stop Car challenge will decide the fate of the two gamers – one will carry the flag into the final while the other goes home. So close, yet so far! As the series concludes, the one million dollar dream run will be chased by the world's best five! One among them – an Indian. Watch an episode of redemption and glory as the finish line is crossed.
