GEC Watch: Life OK returns to No. 4 with maximum viewership gain

Star Plus, Colors and SAB TV also add more viewers this week. Sony slips to No. 6 position in Week 36 of TAM 2014

Star Plus, Colors, Life OK and SAB TV gained viewership in Week 36 of TAM 2014. Riding on the maximum increase of 59 TVMs in its gross viewership, Life OK returned to No. 4 position pushing SAB TV and Sony at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 36 of TAM 2014 (August 31 – September 6) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to lead the pack followed by Zee TV at No. 2 and Colors at No. 3. Life OK, SAB TV and Sony were at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

Star Plus recorded a gross viewership of 591 GTVMs, a gain of 29 GTVM from last week. The channel's relative share was at 25.22% (last week 562 GTVM and 24.63% of relative share).

Zee TV witnessed marginal decline and recorded a gross viewership of 452 GTVM with 19.29% relative share (last week 462 GTVM and 20.25% relative share).

Colors grew by 11 TVM and reached closer to the 400-mark this week. The channel had a gross viewership of 399 GTVM with a relative share of 17.03% (last week 388 GTVM and 17.00% of relative share).

Life OK added maximum viewership this week and returned to No. 4 position. It was at No. 6 last week. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 326 GTVM and a relative share of 11.70% (last week 267 GTVM and 12.60% of relative share).

SAB TV retained No. 5 position with a gross viewership of 288 GTVM. The channel had a relative share of 12.29% (last week 286 TVM and 12.53% of relative share).

Sony lost 30 TVM this week and slipped to No. 6 position. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 287 GTVM with a relative share of 12.25% (last week 317 GTVM and 13.89% of relative share).
