publive-imageThe creative minds from across the world have started gathering at the Cannes Lions 58th International Festival of Creativity which officially opens on 19th June and will continue till 25th June 2011. However, the judging process started on 15th June when finest creative minds of the world started screening the entries for four categories- PR, Promo & Activation, Cyber and Direct Lions.

This year entries for Cyber Lions has seen a jump of 9% where total 2835 entries were received. With a total number of 1858 entries, Direct Lions has witnessed the increase of 29% as compared to last year. In its second year, PR Lions has registered the increase of 43% in entries. There are 819 entries from across the world for PR Lions in 2011. Promo and Activation Lions has also seen a jump of 33% over the last year. A total of 2125 entries have been received for this category.

Indian agencies have entered 33 works for Cyber Lions; 90 for Direct Lions; 89 for Promo & Activations Lions and 14 for PR Lions.

Ryan Menenzes, McCann Erickson is representing India as a jury member for Cyber Lions this year while Raj Nair, Contract Advertising is evaluating the best works in Direct category. Veena Gidwani is Madison Public Relations is representing India as jury member for PR Lions and Brian Tellis, Fountainhead Promotions is the Indian jury member for Promo & Activation Lions.
