Sameer Seth quits Network18; slated to join Dolby Digital

In his second stint with Network18, Seth was Head of News18 World and Head of Business Planning for the group

Sameer Seth, Head of News18 World and Head of Business Planning, Network18, has called it a day, yesterday being his last day. While BestMediaInfo.com could not reach Seth for his comments, sources confirmed that he is slated to join Dolby Digital as Country Marketing Head sometime next week.

Seth who spent a little less than three years during his second stint with Network18 was responsible for P&L management and driving power ratio for international business alongside business planning, revenue & sales strategy for IBN News Network and for A+E | TV18 - CNN-News18, IBN7 & IBN-Lokmat and for History TV18. He was also handling the distribution strategy for IBN Network and A+E | TV18 and new media strategy for IBN Network and A+E | TV18.

Prior to this, Seth spent three years with Star India as AVP - Marketing handling affiliate marketing for the entire network. Seth had joined Star India from CNN-IBN, now CNN-News18, where he spent about six years and rose to become General Manager, Marketing. He had also done a two-year stint with Dish TV.

An MBA from International Management Institute, Seth had started his career with Mediworld Group in 2001 as Business Manager – Communications.
