Dainik Bhaskar successfully completed its padgi tying competition across 12 agencies in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The competition was a part of the publication's 20 years celebration in Rajasthan. About 1,000 participants across 12 agencies took part in the competition. The publication is going to announce the winners based on the highest participation by the agency.

The activity was concluded on February 20 in OMD Mumbai. The agency was quite enthusiastic about the activity, especially the Rajasthani delicacies and the vouchers that were distributed. It was a break for everyone at the agency from their mundane Monday schedule.

Speaking about the activity, Lalit Agrawal, Senior Vice-President, OMD, said, “It's a very interesting way of bringing Rajasthan to life. I think the padgi is quite symbolic to the state and all of us really enjoyed wearing the padgis. It's a nice break from our day-to-day work and stress, especially on a Monday.”

Tarun Kishore, Business Director, OMD, said, “This activity is innovative. For a change people got a different break. I'm sure they'll remember this and cherish the memories.”

Rima Mehta, Group Head, Media Planning, OMD, said, “It's a fun activity as it brings out the whole Rajasthan feel with the placards and the pagdis. The padgi tying professional is really good as he can churn the padgi really quickly. It was really good and thank you for the delicacies.”

Darpan Natawade, Media Supervisor, OMD, said, “It was a good activity. We thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Other agencies too had a good time. Arun Soni, Media Director, Havas Media, Delhi, said, “Awesome delicacies from Rajasthan and a great padgi concept. We will surely win this.”

R Venkatasubramaniam, Senior VP, Initiative Media, Delhi, said, “Never thought of having such a wonderful ethnic padgi competition at our office. We all did our best to compete with other agencies. Cheers to team Danik Bhaskar.”

Speaking about the response of the overall activity, Kaacon Sethi, Chief Marketing Officer, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, “We are overwhelmed with the response. Close to 1,000 media planners, buyers and senior honchos of media agencies have participated wholeheartedly, making this perhaps one of the most unique and largest activations in our fraternity. 12 of the largest media agencies from three cities took part in the competition. All the pictures with social media plugins have been uploaded on www.BestMediaInfo.com.We have done a drive to inform participants where to find the pictures and share them liberally. Celebration ho toh aisa.”
