Sandip Tarkas quits Future Group

Moving on from his full-time role as the President - Customer Strategy and CEO (Sports, Media and Special Projects), Future Group, Tarkas will continue as a consultant for the FMCG giant

Sandip Tarkas has put in his papers at Future Group as the President - Customer Strategy and CEO (Sports, Media and Special Projects). He will continue as a consultant and take care of the responsibilities for another year. Tarkas' last day at work was December 31, 2016.

Commenting on his move, Tarkas said, “I have planned this for three years now. I suddenly woke up one morning and realised that I am getting old and don't have too much time left to fulfil my dreams. Therefore, I decided to take a plunge.”

Hinting about his future ventures, Tarkas said, “I have not yet decided on a plan. I have three to four ideas and a couple of ideas are like starting from absolute scratch and making it big, and a couple of ideas which are already somewhere and I can make them big.”

Tarkas has over 27 years of work experience and has worked with GroupM, Reliance ADAG, MPG, Media Direction, Blow Plast. Tarkas has a chemical engineering degree from IIT Bombay and a postgraduate degree from IIM Bangalore.
