Come 2017, the second GEC of Star India, Life OK, will revamp its content line-up by replacing three out of its four running shows. All the three shows are looking interesting and are equally targeting the male and female audiences.

The channel currently airs five shows to fill in the three-hour weekday primetime -- fictional comedy Bahu Hamari Rajnikant at 8pm, drama series Kalash at 8.30pm, fantasy series Nagarjuna Ek Yoddha at 9pm, fictional comedy May I Come In Madam at 9.30pm and crime show Savdhaan India at 10pm. While Savdhaan India will continue, three out of the four fiction shows will be replaced with the new shows.

Ghulaam, a fiction drama based in a fictional city called Berahampur talks about the atrocities that women go through as they are considered as commodities. Set in the backdrop of Haryana, the show is produced by Saurabh Tewari in association with Life OK. The cast of the show include Rangeela played by Param Singh, the protagonist, along with Niti Taylor and Vikas Manaktla, who plays the antagonist. The show will be launched in January 2017.

Another show expected to come on the channel in February-March 2017 is Pyaar Yaa Paheli -- Chandrakanta. The teasers of the show are already on air on the channel. Chandrakanta is a story of a princess based on a book. The story has been told before on television when the popular serial appeared on Doordarshan in 1994. Rival channel Colors is also launching a show on the same storyline. The fantasy story had gained much popularity in the 1990s and the title track was all the more famous. It remains to be seen how the magic of the series is recreated on the two channels -- Life OK and Colors.

The third new show on the channel -- Har Mard Ka Dard will be launched before March 2017. As per market sources, the show is expected to be a sitcom similar to Sumit Sambhal Lega, aired on the flagship channel of the network, Star Plus.

While nobody could be contacted from the channel, sources indicated that the channel might undergo a complete revamp, including a new look and feel.

The primary target audience for the channel remains the same, the PHCHP (Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh) market, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and peripheral north Indian markets. The channel gets a lot of viewership from these markets already.
