In Week 48 (November 26-December 2) of BARC data, Star Plus grew its numbers to come back to the No. 1 position after losing out to Colors for six weeks in a row. The channel garnered extra eyeballs on the back of the premier of The Jungle Book which was also simulcast on its English movie channel Star Movies on November 27.

The ranking remained largely the same in the urban and rural markets, but the combined markets saw minor shifts in the positions of channels.

Top Channels in U+R markets

In combined (U+R) markets, Star Plus grabbed the top position with 720.839 million Impressions, while Colors slipped to No. 2 with 640.513 million Impressions. Zee TV was at No. 3 with 478.416 million Impressions followed by Sony Entertainment Television which climbed to No. 4 with 439.992 million Impressions. Sony Pal at No.5 gained 427.172 million Impressions, while Rishtey, at No. 6 got 390.658 million Impressions. Slipping by one position, Zee Anmol at No. 7 clocked 385.943 million Impressions, followed by Life OK that garnered 384.270 million Impressions. Sony SAB and Star Utsav stood at the trailing end at No. 9 and 10 with 370.715 million Impressions and 347.026 million Impressions, respectively.

Top Programmes in U+R markets

Colors' Naagin Season 2 topped the list with 15.858 million Impressions followed by Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya which garnered 11.892 million Impressions. Naagin on Rishtey stood at No. 3 with 10.805 million Impressions, while Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya got 10.786 million Impressions in Week 48. Star Plus' Yeh Hai Mohabbatein trailed with 10.692 million Impressions.

Top Channels in Urban markets

Star Plus came back to No. 1 position in the urban markets with 491.749 million Impressions, while Colors slipped to No. 2 with 431.666 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television took the third position with 304.766 million Impressions, followed by Zee TV with 283.185 million Impressions. Sony SAB stood at No. 5 with 268.867 million Impressions. Life OK followed at No. 6 with 243.316 million Impressions while &TV was at No. 7 with 133.744 million Impressions. Sony Pal stood at No. 8 with 109.989 million Impressions. Zee Anmol stood at No. 9 with 100.017 million Impressions. Rishtey trailed at No. 10 with 93.549 million Impressions.

Top Programmes in Urban markets

As per select data {HSM (Urban): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, Colors' Naagin Season 2 led with 10.214 million Impressions. Star Plus programmes grabbed the next three spots with its properties Saath Nibhaana Saathiya (7.781 million Impressions), The Jungle Book movie (7.539 million Impressions) and Yeh Hain Mohabbatein (7.024 million Impressions) at No. 2, 3 and 4 spots, respectively. Sony Entertainment Television's The Kapil Sharma Show stood at No. 4 garnering 6.983 million Impressions.

Top Channels in Rural markets

Sony Pal continued to be in the top spot with 317.183 million Impressions, while Rishtey climbed up to grab the 2nd position with 297.108 million Impressions. Zee Anmol at No. 3 got 285.926 million Impressions. Star Utsav at No. 4 garnered 265.624 million Impressions, followed by Star Plus with 229.090 million Impressions. Colors stood at No. 6 with 208.847 million Impressions. Zee TV, at No. 7 got 195.231 million Impressions. Life OK stayed to No. 8 spot with 140.954 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television at No. 9 clocked 135.226 million Impressions and Big Magic at No. 10 with 116.009 million Impressions.

Top Programmes in Rural markets

As per BARC data, {HSM (Rural): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, Rishtey's Naagin grabbed the first spot amongst the most watched programmes in rural markets by garnering 8.634 million Impressions. Star Utsav's love saga Diya Aur Bati Hum stood No. 2 with 6.390 million Impressions. Sony Pal's Balveer slipped to No. 3 with 6.002 million Impressions. Colors' Naagin Season 2 stood at No. 4 with 5.643 million Impressions. Sony Pal's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah slipped to No. 5 with 5.544 million Impressions.
