Sony Entertainment Television has grabbed the third spot in urban markets in Week 40 of BARC India data, while the channel rose to No. 6 spot in the U+R markets.

Meanwhile, Zee TV has slipped to No. 4 in urban markets. Sony is continuing to reap viewership from The Kapil Sharma Show and Super Dancer, thus perfectly freezing its weekend primetime slots.

Top Channels in U+R markets

In U+R markets, Star Plus retains its lead with 677.946 million Impressions, followed by Colors with 582.912 million Impressions. Zee TV stands at No. 3 with 499.579 million Impressions, followed by Zee Anmol which moved up with 497.549 million Impressions to take No. 4 position. Life OK too has climbed and is at No. 5 with 428.990 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television moved up one position to take the No. 6 slot with 423.671 million Impressions. Star Utsav slipped to No. 7 in U+R markets with 409.577 million Impressions. Sony SAB climbed one spot to No. 8 with 378.751 million Impressions. Sony Pal and Rishtey are at No. 9 and 10 with 367.356 million Impressions and 346.088 million Impressions, respectively.

Top Programmes in U+R markets

In combined U+R markets, Zee TV's Brahmarakshas – Jaag Utha Shaitan was the most watched show with 10.926 million Impressions. Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya is at No. 2 with 10.365 million Impressions, followed by Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya with 9.774 million Impressions. Colors' Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki stood at No. 4 with 9.549 million Impressions, while Sony Entertainment Television's The Kapil Sharma Show has entered the top-five list again with 9.414 million Impressions.

Top Channels in Urban markets

Star Plus continues to lead with 458.945 million Impressions, followed by Colors with 392.333 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television has climbed one position up to grab No. 3 with 293.844 million Impressions.

Zee TV slipped to No. 4 with 286.379 million Impressions. At 5th spot is Life Ok with 275.365 million Impressions. Sony SAB is at No. 6 with 264.463 million Impressions. &TV is at No. 7 with 137.783 million Impressions followed by Zee Anmol with 114.868 million Impressions. Star Utsav is at No. 9 with 95.528 million Impressions while Sony Pal trails at No. 10 with 93.359 million Impressions.

As per select data {HSM (Urban): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, Zee TV's Brahmarakshas – Jaag Utha Shaitan climbed to No. 1 with 6.833 million Impressions followed by Sony Entertainment Television's The Kapil Sharma Show with 6.789 million Impressions. Colors' Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has grabbed No. 3 with 6.409 million Impressions. Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya has got No. 4 position with 6.359 million Impressions, followed by Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya with 6.254 million Impressions.

Zee Anmol has toppled Star Utsav from its top position. While Zee Anmol clocked 382.681 million Impressions, Star Utsav had 314.049 million Impressions. Sony Pal came in at No. 3 with 273.997 million Impressions and Rishtey at No. 4 got 261.573 million Impressions. Star Plus is at No. 5 with 219.001 million Impressions followed by Zee TV with 213.199 million Impressions. Colors and Life Ok are at No. 7 and 8 with 190.579 million Impressions and 153.626 million Impressions, respectively. Sony Entertainment Television and Sony SAB trail with 129.826 million Impressions and 114.288 million Impressions, respectively.

As per BARC data, {HSM (Rural): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, Zee Anmol's Jodha Akbar took lead with 5.594 million Impressions while Rishtey's Naagin followed with 5.330 million Impressions. Zee Anmol's Bandini is at No. 3 with 5.077 million Impressions. Zee Anmol's Kasam Hai Tujhe Aa Bhi Jaa is at No. 4 with 4.923 million Impressions and lastly, Star Utsav's Saath Nibhaana Saathiya witnessed 4.675 million Impressions.
