Colors' has gained decent and enough numbers to close the gap with leader Star Plus in U+R and Urban markets. The channel has performed on the back of the debut episode of the much awaited Season 2 of Naagin. Colors' other shows Shakti and Udaan have also performed well in Week 41 of BARC data.

In Week 41 (October 8-14), BARC India data has shown a lot of shake-up in the rankings in the three market segments of Urban, Rural and U+R. Sony SAB has lost significant viewership to exit from the top 10 list in Rural markets. The channel has ranked No. 10 in U+R markets.

While Zee Anmol has toppled the network's flagship GEC, Zee TV, in U+R markets, Big Magic has found a place in the top ten list in Rural markets.

Top Channels in U+R markets

In U+R markets, Star Plus retains its lead with 706.324 million Impressions, followed by Colors with 682.916 million Impressions, a steep increase of 100 million Impressions from the previous week. Zee Anmol has toppled the network's flagship GEC, Zee TV. Zee Anmol climbed to No. 3 with 521.105 million Impressions followed by Zee TV which moved up with 472.953 million Impressions to take No. 4 position. Sony Pal too grew its numbers to grab the No. 5 spot, climbing four spots ahead (No. 9 spot in Week 40), clocking 432.309 million Impressions. Life OK slipped to No. 6 with 415.987 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television too slipped one position to take the No. 7 slot with 415.584 million Impressions. Star Utsav dropped to No. 8 in U+R markets with 401.336 million Impressions. Rishtey and Sony SAB stood at No. 9 and 10 with 392.580 million Impressions and 364.481 million Impressions, respectively.

Top Programmes in U+R markets

In combined U+R markets, the debut episode of Colors' Naagin Season 2 has become the most watched show among Hindi GECs with 13.848 million Impressions. Another show from Colors, Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, stood No. 2 with 10.517 million Impressions. At No. 3, Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya got 10.074 million Impressions. Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohabbatein grabbed No. 4 position (9.687 million Impressions), while Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya clocked 9.386 million Impressions to stay at the trailing end.

Top Channels in Urban markets

Star Plus continues to lead with 468.715 million Impressions, followed by Colors with 450.696 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television climbed one position to become No. 3 with 292.413 million Impressions. Life Ok has climbed to No. 4 position with 265.220 million Impressions. Zee TV slipped to No. 5 with 264.379 million Impressions. At No. 6 is Sony SAB with 256.307 million Impressions. &TV is at No. 7 with 138.670 million Impressions. Zee Anmol is at No. 8 with 116.867 million Impressions followed by Sony Pal with 102.883 million Impressions. Star Utsav trails at No. 10 with 92.282 million Impressions.

Top Programmes in Urban markets

As per select data {HSM (Urban): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, the debut episode of Colors' Naagin Season 2 has grabbed the top spot with 8.838 million Impressions, followed by the channel's Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki which clocked 7.026 million Impressions. Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya has got No. 3 position with 6.228 million Impressions, followed by Colors' Udaan stood at No. 4 with 6.057 million Impressions. Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohabbatein got 6.026 million Impressions at the trailing end.

Top Channels in Rural markets

Zee Anmol with 404.238 million Impressions has grabbed the top spot and has toppled Star Utsav from its top position. While Sony Pal is at No. 2 and clocked 329.426 million Impressions, Star Utsav came in at No. 3 with 309.055 million Impressions and Rishtey at No. 4 got 302.831million Impressions. Star Plus is at No. 5 with 237.609 million Impressions followed by Colors with 232.220 million Impressions. Zee TV and Big Magic are at No. 7 and 8 with 208.573 million Impressions and 156.238 million Impressions, respectively. Life Ok and Sony Entertainment Television trail with 150.768 million Impressions and 123.171 million Impressions.

Top Programmes in Rural markets

As per BARC data, {HSM (Rural): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, Rishtey's Naagin led with 7.338 million Impressions while STAR Utsav's Saath Nibhaana Saathiya followed with 6.043 million Impressions. Zee Anmol's Jodha Akbar is at No. 3 with 5.757 million Impressions. Zee Anmol's Kasam Hai Tujhe Aa Bhi Jaa is at No. 4 with 5.279 million Impressions and lastly, Zee Anmol's Bandini witnessed 5.064million Impressions.
