Speaking about the new season, Sashwati Banerjee, Managing Director, Sesame Workshop in India said, “Kids' early experiences have a powerful influence on the formation of their cognitive capacities, social skills and later even their I.Q. Hence, tapping them at a young age is very important. Through positive role-modelling by our well-researched characters, we are able to bring about a positive change in little kids who start believing and trusting their beloved muppets. Hence, when Chamki talks to her friend Googly about saving water, our little viewers take it seriously and start acting towards water conservation.”

Sesame Workshop Initiatives India is the educational organisation behind the acclaimed children's series 'Galli Galli Sim Sim'. It uses the power of media to help kids grow smarter, stronger and kinder by developing high quality and engaging content for television, radio, print and digital platforms to reach kids aged 0-8 with important lessons in ways that speak directly to them.

Over the last decade, the reach of 'Galli Galli Sim Sim' has increased steadily across the country. With season 7 being watched extensively by eight million kids, the show has witnessed tremendous success in reaching its mission of helping children grow. The show will also be broadcast in Marathi on DD Sahyadri and in Gujarati on DD Girnar later this year.

Hisham Mundol, Executive Director, Children's Investment Fund Foundation, the organisation which funds Galli Galli Sim Sim, said, “Our partnership with Sesame Workshop has brought interesting synergies to the table and has given us new insights into how content for kids can be approached and adapted in countries like India. Through the power of muppets and media, Galli Galli Sim Sim is impacting young Indian learners, helping them become informed decision makers of tomorrow. It has been our constant endeavour to engage with like-minded partners like Sesame who showcase their passion towards providing access to high-quality early childhood content.”

Undoubtedly, there is a constant need for early childhood education in India, not just in pre-schools but also at home where parents are looking for stronger and more engaging learning tools. The show continues to bring engaging and educational content focused on language and cognitive development of the little ones. The show introduces a brand new way to develop vocabulary and understand meaning of words through a nonverbal animation with the lovable 'Toto' and 'Dhenchoo'. The popular Bert and Ernie's Math segment has become even more exciting in 3D animation.

Richa Sahai, Creative and Business Head, RedDot Productions, said, “This will be our second year of working with Sesame Workshop and we are delighted to produce this season as well. It is a pleasure to be a part of this journey and build on the 'Galli Galli Sim Sim' legacy every year. Our collective goal has always been to engage kids with compelling, meaningful content and we are hoping to deliver this best through 'Galli Galli Sim Sim'.”

The show will continue to bring focused content through its 'I Love Elmo' segment that helps provide strategies to kids and caregivers to deal with these situations. The all-new 'Cookie Crumby Pictures' help kids build executive functioning skills like following instructions, problem-solving, self-regulation, task persistence and planning. This season also brings a new interactive segment where Chamki meets inspiring women and talks to them about how they overcame their challenges by resiliency and determination to fulfil their dreams.

The show is been extensively promoted on the radio, print and slightly on the digital front.
