After releasing separate data for Urban and Rural markets in Week 19, Week 20 (May 14, 2016 - May 20, 2016) of BARC Impressions witnessed good competition among the channels in both the markets. While Star Pus dislodged Colors from the top position in Urban markets, in Rural segment Sony Pal edged out Zee Anmol.

Top Channels in Urban Markets

As per HSM Urban market {HSM (Urban): NCCS All: 4+ Individuals}, Star Plus led the pack with 431857 Impressions, a rise from last week's 413580.

Colors slipped to No. 2 with 414213 Impressions, compared to last week's 431346.

Zee TV is at No. 3 with 315703 Impressions (last week 311583).

Life Ok stood at No. 4 with 283930 Impressions (last week 287442).

Sony SAB continued to be at No. 5 with 264192 Impressions, a rise from last week's 241700.

Sony Entertainment Television gained some Impressions rising to 216711, compared to 207012 Impressions last week.

&TV is at No. 7 with 127052 Impressions (last week 119686).

Sony Pal is at No. 8 with 113523 Impressions (last week 115399). Zee Anmol stood at No. 9 with 98875, a fall from last week's 101704. Star Utsav is at No. 10 with 94964 Impressions, compared to last week's 95186

Top Programmes in Urban Markets

As per select data {HSM (Urban): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, Colors' Naagin remained the most viewed programme in urban markets with 9732 Impressions (last week 10374).

Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohabbatein is at No. 2 with 7456 Impressions (last week 7070).

Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya is at No. 3 with 6960 Impressions (last week 6245).

Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is at No. 4 with 6252 Impressions (last week 5984).

Colors' India's Got Talent is at No. 5 with 5230 Impressions (last week 6049).

Top Channels in Rural Markets

In the second week of data from rural Hindi speaking markets, Sony Pal replaced Zee Anmol to lead the flock. As per {HSM (Rural): NCCS All: 4+ Individuals} data, Sony Pal is at No. 1 with 382703 Impressions (last week, 386861).

Star Utsav is at No. 2 with 364512 Impressions (last week 355620).

Zee Anmol slipped to No. 3 with 352241 Impressions, compared to last week's 397738.

Zee TV stood at No. 4 with 267343 Impressions, compared to last week's 283082.

Viacom18's Rishtey continues to be at No. 5 with 261310 Impression (last week 282625).

Interestingly, Colors is at No. 6 in the rural markets with 221685 Impressions (last week 233354).

Star Plus is at No. 7 in rural markets with a viewership of 215485, compared to last week's 202257).

Life Ok stood at No. 8 with 160105 Impressions (last week 170238). Big Magic is at No. 9 with 157675 Impressions witnessing a rise from last week's 139427. Sony SAB is at No. 10 with 107724 Impressions, a decline from last week's 109515.

Top Programmes in Rural Markets

As per BARC India {HSM (Rural): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, Zee Anmol's Jodha Akbar stood at No. 1 with 5869 Impressions (last week 7393).

Star Utsav's Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is at No. 2 with 5659 Impressions, a decline from last week's 6399.

Colors' Naagin is at No. 3 with 5531 Impressions, a decline from 5872 last week.

Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya stood at No. 4 with 5323 Impressions, a rise from last week's 4941.

Zee Anmol's Bandini slipped to No. 5 with 4796 Impressions, a substantial fall from last week's 6224 Impressions.
