nexGTv, one of India's leading pure play mobile TV, over-the-top (OTT) video streaming players, has strengthened its footprint, by making is services available globally. The company will cater for Hindi, English and Tamil speaking communities abroad, while strategically providing content to the Indian population first, in the UK, Australia, Canada and the US.

The OTT player aims to take its offering of Live TV content of more than 150 channels and 1,000 movies onto its freemium platform for Indians around the globe. In the first phase, nexGTv has secured digital rights to screen content beyond Indian borders for more than 11,500 hours of programming. The initial focus will be to provide Hindi, English and Tamil content to the respective communities abroad. nexGTv services in these three languages will also be available on both the Web and on Apps.

The OTT player has secured worldwide rights from Rajshree Entertainment Pvt Ltd, One Network Entertainment, HT Media Ltd, Star Entertainment Pvt Ltd and 9X Media Pvt Ltd. To meet anticipated demands, the player has invested in strengthening its proprietary setup comprising network, content sourcing, delivery infrastructure, and operator and billing relationships. Apart from that, nexGTv will also premiere its original series 'It's My City,' which is a 14- episode bi-weekly series, starring Priyanka Chopra. The story highlights the lives and challenges of four girls in a city far from home.
