'Timeless Digital Awards' from Sony Max 2

The channel invites viewers to vote for their favourite Bollywood icons of the yesteryears on a microsite and win prizes every day.The contest began on March 28 and continues till April 8

To celebrate the magic of Indian cinema and inspire viewers to recall and appreciate the era of evergreen Hindi movies and its timeless stars, Sony Max 2 has launched online film awards. The 'Timeless Digital Awards', which is the first such initiative in India, opened for votes on March 28 and will run till April 8.

The online awards, empowers Sony Max 2 viewers to be the jury and vote for their favourite nominees across various categories. Since its inception, Sony Max 2 has inspired its audience to appreciate and support good movies. The channel now takes this support a notch higher, by honouring not just the actors, but the legends behind the camera responsible for these movies, too.

The digital awards will be held through a specially curated microsite, max2awards.sonyliv.com, on which viewers will be able to vote for eleven diverse categories, like the 'Most Versatile Actor', 'Most Versatile Actress', 'Best Jodi' (pair), 'Popular Villain', 'Best Comedian', 'Best Singer' (male and female), 'Most Iconic Character', 'Best Director', 'Best Screenwriter' and 'Best Composer'.  Voting lines opened for users from March 28.

Maz 2 has taken the initiative in Hindi too, allowing viewers to vote by logging onto the Hindi microsite. The winners of the Max 2 'Timeless Digital Awards' will be judged on the basis of the maximum user votes polled and honoured on a digital wall of fame across the channel's social media pages on April 11.

Participants will have to loginto the microsite via Facebook, Twitter or a verified email ID and key in a reason for their votes for the preferredactor or cameraman. Voters will get a chance to win online retail vouchers daily by voting via the microsite or Twitter. Two grand winners will be selected on the basis of maximum participation and will win an iPhone 6s each.

A magical selfie contest adds to the fun. The contest runs on the microsite, on which users will have to upload a picture, wearing a retro look and posing as their favourite actor on Instagram, using #MagicalSelfie. A lucky winner will receive a gift voucher every day.
