Online marketplace ShopClues held its 'Bigger than the Biggest Thank You Sale' between October 5 and 10, 2015 in celebration of reaching 1 crore customers. To generate excitement and awareness around the sale, ShopClues had also rolled out a TVC. Conceptualised and created by Enormous Brands, Mumbai, the TVC invited buyers to make the best of this mega shopping extravaganza.

As part of the 'Bigger than the Biggest Thank You Sale', existing customers received free credit in the form of Clues Bucks between Rs 50 and Rs 1 lakh, which they could use to purchase anything on the website. In addition, the marketplace offered various deals and discounts across a large assortment of products and categories for the six-day period. ShopClues also entered into alliances with top brands so that customers could avail of a variety of benefits, including gift vouchers worth Rs 250 on Naturals products, 40 per cent cashback on orders with TinyOwl and up to Rs 4,000 off on travel bookings with the Yatra app.

Speaking on the sale and the TVC, Radhika Aggarwal, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer, ShopClues.com, said, “We at ShopClues are thrilled at registering 1 crore customers. Through the 'Bigger than the Biggest Thank You Sale', we wanted each one of those 1 crore shoppers to revel in the celebration with us. The TVC rolled out by ShopClues endeavoured to create a buzz around this sale so that customers could make the best of the deals and discounts on offer.”

The TVC starts by elucidating how bleak the world would be if people were charged money for a simple “Thank You” when they were given any help or shown some support. The viewer is then reminded that since ShopClues is highly grateful for the constant loyalty, support and patronage of its 1 crore customers, it is in no mood to save and has, therefore, announced this mega sale. The ad film reiterates ShopClues' celebratory mode and its desire to share the joy with its customers.

Commenting on the campaign, OR Radhakrishnan, ECD, Enormous Brands, said, “In this 'Bigger than the Biggest Thank You Sale', the client was offering monetary rewards along with the sale, which is what sparked the idea. Normally 'thank yous' are just words which people say more often without really thinking. What if those 'thank yous' had a price tag? Would we be as generous with our 'thank yous'? Which was the idea behind the campaign – 'Agar thank you bolne ke paise lagte to duniya kuch aisi hoti...lekin hum aise nahi hain'.”
