Taking cognizance of the request by the Association of Radio Operators for India (AROI), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has decided to revise the dates for payment of net payable migration amount for FM Phase 2 operators only.

As per the earlier directive, MIB had asked the winning bidders to make the initial 25 per cent payment by September 23, 2015, while the balance amount was to be paid by October 1, 2015.

Uday Chawla, Secretary, AROI, had written to MIB seeking extension in the payment deadline for FM Phase 2 operators to pay the net-payable migration amount.

As per the revised the dates, the payment date for 25 per cent net payable amount under migration was October 5, while the balance 75 per cent amount has to be paid by October 15.

MIB further said that the calculation of the migration fee had been done as per the recommendation of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) dated February 20, 2015.
