India Today Television tops English News category
In Week 22 of BARC, Times Now has been pushed to No. 2 after a sustained run at the top

India Today Television has created a record by taking over the leadership slot among English News Channels in the second week of its launch. According to BARC ratings released for Week 22 today, the channel garnered maximum viewership totalling 239 GVTs in 6 Megacities and 354 GVTs on All-India. With 264 GVTs, Times Now was pushed to No. 2 after a sustained run at the top. NewsX was at No. 3 with 231 GVTs (according to the updated data publicly available on BARCIndia website) .
A press statement from India Today Television said it had maintained an extremely healthy sampling that's 73% over Times Now in 6 Megacities and 48% above Times Now in All-India (22+ M AB). The maximum number of viewers in primetime also watched India Today Television, double the number of Times Now Viewers in 6 Megacities and 57% more than Time Now in All-India (Mon-Fri, 1900 - 2400, 22+ M AB).
Programming wise, India Today television also topped the charts with four out of the top 5 programmes (22+M AB, All-India).
