This Valentine's Day, Vodafone came up with an on-ground campaign to bring people closer with their #closertogether activity in New Delhi. Leo Burnett's events team conceptualised and executed the initiative.

The team reached out to random couples and sparked romance in their hearts by presenting them with balloons and performing an unplugged version of Vodafone's signature Song – 'You and I'. When the couples came closer, a crew operating from a concealed location deployed a remote controlled helicopter to shower red rose petals over the couples as a surprise. The crew had attached a camera to the helicopter to capture the experience.

Commenting on the activation, Ankit Grover, Brand Partner, Leo Burnett, said, “Vodafone wanted to reach out to people and touch their hearts with a pleasant gesture. So, we crafted an engagement which we titled #closertogether – a heart-warming activity and highly relevant from the perspective of the brand. The activity elevated the brand as an entity that it not only brings people closer physically, but emotionally as well.”
