&TV-LogoNewly launched GEC &TV will be adding a historical show and a show based on a quirky small town to its content line-up. Starting March 2, 2015, 'Razia Sultan' will air every Monday-Friday at 7:30 PM, while 'Begusarai' will air Monday-Friday at 10.00  PM.

Talking about the shows, Rajesh Iyer, Business Head of &TV, said, “Both the shows have been strategically designed to appeal to the new age mindset of viewers. While historical shows in the past have re-told a story already known, we have consciously tried to present an untold progressive narrative of the 13th century slave dynasty with 'Razia Sultan'. On the other hand, with 'Begusarai', we bring to television a fresh new dialect and flavour, which is again a first on TV. We are certain that the audience will relate to the contemporary aspect of these shows.”

Produced by Swastik Production, 'Razia Sultan' will portray the progressiveness in the thought process and the grandeur of the era highlighting every nuance and intricacy involved. The set of this period drama has been designed and created by Omung Kumar of 'Mary Kom' fame.

'Begusarai', produced by Saregama Productions, is a land beyond the law of the land. Living within the boundaries of age-old traditions, this almost forgotten township of  today's India tells the story of Thakurs, outlaws of the land.
