Musafir.com makes two new appointments

Nayan Patel has been appointed as GM – Products, while Rahul Almeida has been appointed as Marketing Manager

Musafir.com India has appointed Nayan Patel as General Manager - Products. Patel has over nine years of experience in the travel industry and has been associated with a wide gamut of departments within the Products and Marketing functions. The company has also appointed Rahul Almeida as Marketing Manager. Almeida has over 12 years of experience in the travel industry and his last stint was with GoAir. He has also worked with Alitalia Airlines and Travelguru.com in the past.

Commenting on his appointment, Patel said, “With this new and challenging role, I believe I will be able to effectively cater to the emerging consumer needs in this segment. I am excited to a part of the team and look forward to exciting times ahead.”

Patel has earlier worked with companies like Thomas Cook and L&T. He has completed his Masters in Business Administration from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

Almeida will be responsible for driving Musafir.com's strategic alliances, partnerships and network as a preferred OTA in the Indian market. Commenting on his appointment, Almeida said, "When it is about buying travel online, Musafir has revolutionised the concept of the way travel is bought today and is committed to delivering holistic travel solutions. I am pleased to be a part of it and look forward to the opportunity of this growing sector.”

Almeida holds a Masters degree in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai.
