Colors to kick off Bigg Boss from Sept 21

Colors' flagship reality show, Bigg Boss, will be back with its eighth season starting September 21, 2014. Hosted by Salman Khan, the show takes the daily primetime slot of 9 PM.

Bigg Boss is slated to replace two shows – Beintehaa and Rangrasiya – that were launched on December 30, 2013, after Bigg Boss 7 got over. Last year, Bigg Boss was launched on September 15, 2013.

In its new season, Bigg Boss is expected to bring new twists with Salman Khan taking the contestants on an aeroplane to a place yet to be revealed. The promos for the show went on air in mid-August.

The celebrity show has been the most talked about reality show since its launch and it ended on a high last season. For the record, Bigg Boss 7 garnered the highest ever ratings of 9.6 TVM for its finale episode.

Colors has signed Snapdeal as presenting sponsor of Bigg Boss 8 powered by Oppo Mobile and driven by Maruti Suzuki. The channel has signed L'oreal, TVS Motors and Cardekho.com as associate sponsors.
