SAB to launch 'Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala'

Produced by Dharmesh Mehta, the comedy, which revolves around a fireman by the same name, will go on air on August 18 in the 10 PM slot

SAB TV is all set to bring yet another family entertainment show - 'Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala'. The unique comedy, which revolves around a fireman by the same name, will start on August 10 at 10 PM and will be on air Monday to Friday.

The show revolves around Chandrakant Chiplunkar, a middle class fire fighter, and his life. His wife, his family and his office provide light-hearted moments in the show. The Chipunkar family gets into a lot of eventful circumstances just because Chandrakant cannot decline any request. The TV series shall showcase the funny incidents that the firefighter gets involved in and the hilarious events that ensue after his cosmopolitan mix of extended family joins hands to assist him in his endeavours, often resulting in a comedy of errors.

The story revolves around the heroics of a good-hearted and helpful fireman.”

What makes the show something to look forward to is the fact that behind it is the same name which brought us 'RK Laxman Ki Duniya' and 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'. Sharmesh Mehta from NamanRaj Productions has conceptualised as well as produced the show.

In the past too, we have worked together on shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, R K Laxman Ki Duniya, Paapad Pol, etc. Most of our successful shows have been with SAB TV. With Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala, we aim to offer viewers a look into the life of an ever-so-selfless firefighter and the funny situations he gets into," said Dharmesh Mehta, Producer, NamanRaj Productions.

The cast of the show has some big names from Marathi theatre. Playing Chandrakant Chiplunkar is Prashant Damle, while his wife, Hemali's role will be done by Kavita Lad. Shashikant, Naina Apte and Anang Desai will also be seen in the show.
