Cordlife India, an advanced umbilical cord and cord blood processing, testing and cryopreservation facility in the country, has launched a TVC to convey the message that stem cell banking is the most responsible step that expecting parents can take to ensure the safety of their child.

The 60-second TVC, conceptualised by Rediffusion Y&R, Kolkata, communicates the joys of parenting and the happiness that pervades a household when a baby is born in the family. The ad explores various emotions of the would-be parents as they get ready for a new beginning in their lives and explains the merits of stem cell banking.

The main communication of Cordlife centres around the premise of 'responsibility'. It takes a close look at how and when the feeling of responsibility takes birth in expecting parents. The basic questions that the communication deals with are: When does the feeling of responsibility truly take birth in a parent? How far would they go to safe keep their child's life?

Commenting on the concept, Nilanjan Dasgupta, Executive Creative Director, Rediffusion Y&R, said, “'When is a parent born?' is the insight we decided to work on because there are many things in life that can give birth to or define parenthood, amongst which 'responsibility' seemed to be the most significant one. In terms of making the film, the challenge was to seamlessly merge the emotional aspect of being a parent and the functionality of the product.”
