Prosenjit Datta, Editor, Businessworld, has called it a day after an association of 15 years with the business magazine. Rajeev Dubey, Executive Editor, Businessworld, has been elevated as Editor to replace Datta.

According to sources, Datta is set to join Business Today as Editor, though BestMediaInfo could not validate this officially.

It may be recalled that Chaitanya Kalbag, Editor, Business Today, had moved out in October 2013. Thereafter, the magazine has been headed by Managing Editor Josey Puliyenthuruthel and Suveen Sinha, Executive Editor.

Datta joined Businessworld in June 1999 as Senior Editor and was elevated to Editor of ABP online division. He returned to Businessworld as Editor in 2009.

Datta started his journalism career with The Economic Times as Staff Writer in 1990 and then joined Business Standard as Feature Writer in 1992 where we he spent close to six years and rose to become Features Editor. He also did a brief stint with Reliance as Senior Manager before joining Businessworld.

Businessworld was acquired by GBN Media in October last year from the ABP group.
