Panorama, a new digital agency, comes out with a digital campaign to clear doubts about digital PR

The new kid on the PR block, Panorama, has come up with a vibrant online campaign to explain and educate people about digital PR. Understanding how people in the industry or even clients react to digital PR, Panorama has brought out various myth-busters on this theme. So far, five of these are already being shared on Facebook and some 10-15 more are on the way.

“Panorama has only been around for the last few months. We started with one client and won another during the process. But we realised that most people outside do not understand the power of digital, especially social media. Digital PR has many myths and we are trying to bust those myths by showing them the actual facts through this campaign,” said Swaroop Sarkar, Founder, Panorama.

The Delhi-based agency is looking to share the campaign only on Facebook. They have no plans of promoting it in other mediums where financial spends are involved. “We cannot even promote it on FB because there is a policy that text can only be 20 per cent of the picture. And our myth busters are full text,” pointed out Sarkar.

Among the myths which have been addressed so far are:

  • 'A blogger is less valuable than a journalist'
  • 'The intern can handle our brand's |Twitter handle'
  • 'A few fake likes on a brand's Facebook page does no harm'
  • 'Disgruntled customers are aplenty. Ignorance is a bliss'
  • 'PR = press release'
