TV18 has found a CEO for its IBN18 Network in Avinash Kaul, ten months after the departure of its previous CEO, Dilip Venkatraman. Based in Mumbai, Kaul will be responsible for the day-to-day operational, strategic and financial management of the general news network. Amongst the key tasks mandated for Avinash is the consolidation & diversification of TV18's general news network.

Kaul recently put in his papers at Times Television Network as CEO of Times Now, ET Now and Zoom.

Speaking on Kaul's appointment as CEO of IBN18 Network, B Saikumar, Group CEO - Network18, said, “Avinash brings a very successful track record as a leader and a wealth of knowledge about the media and broadcasting industry. A broadcast professional with 16+ years of experience across business verticals like advertising sales, distribution, programming and marketing, Kaul had joined Times Television Network in August 2010 after a brief stint of seven months at Sahara One. Prior to joining Sahara, Kaul had spent over seven years with NDTV Media.

Kaul, who started his career with Mindshare in 1998 as a Media Planner, has also done stints with Discovery Communications and Star India.
