Week 44 of TAM witnessed significant changes in the pecking order of Hindi general entertainment channels. While Zee TV slipped back to No. 3 after the 'Chennai Express' premiere in Week 43, Star Plus and Colors returned to No. 1 and No. 2 positions, respectively.

The world television premiere of 'Ye Jawani Hai Diwani' fetched 6,995 TVT for Sony while 'Chennai Express' supported Zee TV in its second telecast by fetching 5,756 TVT. For the record, the world television premiere of 'Chennai Express' on Zee TV in Week 43 had fetched 19,541 TVT.

According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 44 (October 27-November 2) for CS 4+, HSM markets, SAB displaced Life OK from No. 4 while Sony remained at No. 6.

Star Plus returned to No. 1 position despite a slight fall in its viewership in Week 44. The channel recorded 486 million TVT with a relative share of 20.72% (last week 493 million TVT with 20.80% relative share).

Colors continued to grow by 40 million TVTs in second consecutive week and returned to No. 2 position. The channel recorded a gross TVT of 464 million. It had a relative share of 19.77% (last week 424 million TVT with 17.87% relative share).

Zee TV slipped to No. 3 losing 70 million TVT. The channel recorded 435 million Gross TVT with a relative share of 18.54% (last week 505 million with21.33% relative share).

SAB TV returned to No. 4 by adding 5 million TVT this week. The channel recorded 337 million TVT and 14.37% relative share (last week 332 million TVT and 14% relative share).

Life OK slipped to 5thposition this week from last week's No. 4. The channel recorded Gross TVT of 324 million against last week's 335 million. The relative share was at 13.81% in Week 44 against 14.12% in the previous week.

Sony added 18 million TVT this week on the back of the world television premiere of 'Ye Jawani Hai Diwani' that fetched 6,995 TVT. The channel recorded Gross TVT of 300 million with 12.79% relative share (last week 282 million TVTs with 11.88% of relative share).
