Colors is all set to spice up its weekend programming with the new season of celebrity dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' starting June 1, 2013, every Saturday and Sunday, at 9 PM. The show will be competing with DID Super Moms on Zee TV, Indian Idol Junior on Sony – both launched on June 1 – and India's Dancing Superstar on Star Plus in the 9 PM slot.

Viewers will get to follow the moves of 12 celebrities as they will be seen surpassing all limitations in new frontiers of dance with some never-seen-before acts. Viewers will see dance spilling outside the studio walls as the contestants are challenged to portray their true talent in some unusual outdoor locations as well. Contestants will leave no chance to outdo performances with the use of unconventional props, graphics and animation backed up with internationally acclaimed video mapping technology, etc. The season also introduces innovative concepts from Relay dance to performing with Live DJ Music to shaking a leg with an extra partner in 'Teen KaTadka'.

Hosting this season are the comic duo of Manish Paul returning for his second innings along with king of comedy Kapil Sharma taking viewers on a high dose of laughter and entertainment. The dance-off would bring the 12 celebrity contestants that include ace singer Shaan with Marischa, television's favourite boy Siddharth Shukla with Sonia Jaffer, Bollywood actress Aarti Chhabria with Corneil Octavia Rodrigues, girl next door Ekta Kaul with Tushar Kalia, young and vivacious Drashti Dhami with Salman Yousuf Khan, powerhouse performer Eijaz Khan with Mohena Singh, lean-mean machine of Indian television Karanvir Bohra with Sneha Kapoor, ABCD star and Hollywood actress Lauren Gottlieb with Punit Pathak, TV's method actor Meghna Malik with Savio Barnes, television's most popular and endearing bahu Shweta Tiwari with Sushant Pujari, comedian Suresh Menon with Suchitra Sawant, and last but not the least, India's Got Talent winners Sonali and Sumanth.

Throwing challenges in their path are the trinity of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Karan Johar and choreographer cum director Remo D'Souza.

Kick starting the launch episode will be dancing queen Madhuri who will team up with Bollywood sensation Ranbir Kapoor for a stunning performance on their new item number. Next to enthrall viewers will be an entertaining performance by Sushant Singh Rajput and actress Jacqueline Fernandez who will be introducing the 12 celebrity contestants. Remo will also take over the stage for a power-packed performance with his troupe and something not to missed will be director Karan Johar's entertaining act.

The launch episode week will also see the three Deols – Sunny, Bobby and Dharmendra – shake a leg with the Jhalak contestants.

Jhalak Dikhhhla Jaa, the local adaptation of the BBC Worldwide format Strictly Come Dancing, is produced in over 30 countries worldwide including India. The new season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa will see Cadbury Bournvita return as the presenting sponsor along with Vaseline as the Powered by sponsor amongst others.
