publive-imageGaana.com, the largest music streaming website in India, has launched Gaana 2.0 and Gaana+ for iPhone. In addition, having launched its first mobile apps just 45 days ago, Gaana has crossed 1 million mobile downloads and seen a 200 per cent increase in the play count over the past two months, becoming the fastest growing music service in India.

With online music gaining prominence, Gaana on web and mobile provides a comprehensive experience, allowing users to search and listen to millions of songs, access top charts, listen to radio mode, and use unique discovery tools to find new music, like seeing what their friends are listening to.

Gaana 2.0 adds a new set of features. The new 'My Zone' allows instant access to one's favourite music across any device, a dramatically improved search makes it easier to find what you're looking for, and Gaana now supports multi-bit rate streaming, so you can choose the quality of output that suits your internet connection.

In addition, Gaana has launched Gaana+ for iPhone, a premium subscription service that allows users to download their favourite songs and playlists onto their phone, listen to music at ultra-high quality, and access the site without any ads, ever. Gaana+ is available on iOS devices at present, and will soon be coming to Android devices as well. Gaana+ comes with a free offline access to enjoy the largest catalog of songs for a trial period of 15 days for $2.99 a month (iOS).

Satyan Gajwani, CEO, Times Internet, said, “The mobile uptake of Gaana has been overwhelming, and it's taught us to focus our efforts first on an incredible mobile experience. During this period we have seen a rapid growth of over 200 per cent songs increase in playcount on Gaana mobile. This release has been driven by incredible feedback by Gaana loyalists, and the new release will set the benchmark for usability and functionality expected for an Indian music fan.”

Gaana is already available on the web, Android, iOS, Blackberry, Blackberry 10 and J2ME devices, making it widely accessible to nearly anyone with a mobile phone.

The app is available for download free of cost by visiting gaana.com on your mobile phone, or on the iTunes App Store, Google Play Store, Blackberry App World, Nokia Ovi Store or Samsung App Store.
