publive-imageCNN-IBN completed seven years in the television news space on December 18, 2012, passing another milestone in its journey of hard-hitting journalism and leadership. Since its inception, CNN-IBN, led by some of the country's best news anchors such as Rajdeep Sardesai, Karan Thapar, Sagarika Ghose, Suhasini Haider, Anubha Bhonsle, Veeraraghav TM, Bhupendra Chaubey, Smita Nair, Karma Paljor, Gaurav Kalra and Rajeev Masand, has grown by leaps and bounds.

Its tagline 'Whatever It Takes' has inspired the channel to lead from the front and win 159 awards in excellence, which is the highest number of such awards won by any news channel in the Indian television industry.

CNN-IBN has also been behind some of the most ground-breaking programming that celebrate the common man. Programmes such as Real Heroes, Citizen Journalist, and India Positive have not only been inspiring social initiatives, but also been fine examples of a 360°degree view of news coverage.

Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, CNN-IBN, IBN7 & IBN-Lokmat, said, “Seven years ago, we had a dream which has now become a reality. Reaching this milestone gives us a great sense of pride and self-belief that will inspire us to work even harder to keep the philosophy of 'Whatever It Takes' alive.”
