NDTV Good Times, India's first premium lifestyle channel, sucessfully hosted the third edition of the KAFF NDTV Good Times Food Awards at a high profile event at The Westin, Gurgaon on Monday evening.

The channel honoured the finest restaurants, restaurateurs and chefs from across the country in a gala awards ceremeony, raising a toast to the 'perfect recipe'. Joining in the celebrations were Prahlad Kakkar, Zeba Kohli, Ritu Dalmia, Marut Sikka, Suhel Seth, Vir Sanghvi, Carol Gracias, Joey Mathew, Kim Jagtiani, Vinod Dua,Rashmi Uday Singh, Rohit Khattar Chetan Seth, Bikramjit Ray, Vikram Chandra, Seema Chandra among other celebrated faces, food enthusiasts, restaurant owners and chefs.

Among the many highlights of the occasion was the performance by Shaa'ir and Func, an alternative, electronic music duo - Monica Dogra and Randolph Correia. Hosts of the popular series - Highway on my plate, Rocky & Mayur kept the audience in splits with their humour and charm.

The channel aims to recognise, honor and celebrate exceptional talent in the food space with these awards. The awards were were presented by who is who from the culinary inudustry. Over 66 restaurants and 15 cities were nominated across 11 categories.

·         Best Coastal Restaurant - GAJALEE COASTAL FOOD – MUMBAI

·         Best Regional Restaurant - BHOJO HORI MANNA – KOLKATA

·         Best Asian Restaurant - GUNG THE PALACE, INDEPENDENT – DELHI

·         Best Dessert & Coffee Menu – THE OBEROI PATISSERIE AND DELICATESSEN, THE OBEROI HOTEL- NEW DELHI

·         Best Bar - AURUS – MUMBAI

·         Best European Restaurant - SMOKE HOUSE ROOM – NEW DELHI

·         Sensational Debut - YAUATCHA – MUMBAI

·         All time favourite Restaurant - KARVALLI, GATEWAY HOTEL RESIDENCY ROAD – BENGALURU

·         Best Dhaba – MULLAPANDAL KALLU TODDY SHOP, ERNAKULAM

·         Kaff Special Jury Award (Best Healthy menu) – DOWN TO EARTH, MUMBAI

INDORE won the Best Foodie City from among 15 cities – Delhi/ NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jodhpur, Ammedabad, Chandigarh, Trivandrum, Lucknow, Goa, Indore and Mysore nominated for the category.

Within two years since its conception, the awards have become the definitive guide to the best in the business, with an unmatched expert panel that is unbiased and uncompromising when it comes to food.

The winners were selected by a highly qualified jury comprising of NDTV award winning anchor Vinod Dua, celebrity Chef Ritu Dalmia, Food critic Marut Sikka, popular anchor & Chef Aditya Bal, Restaurateur, Chef Vicky Ratnani, Highway Stars Rocky & Mayur and NDTV Lifestyle's Food Editor Seema Chandra.

The nomination list was developed from a universe of over 1000 restaurants by evaluating various journals/magazines in the public domain. The short listed restaurants were further assessed on the basis of their unique propositions. The parameters on which the restaurants were rated: Food, Service, Ambience, Key specialty of restaurant/bar and USP. The validation process was undertaken by Ernst &Young.
