The latest “Independence Day” Special issue of Outlook, now on stands, is the first weekly newsmagazine in India to bring an editorial feature to life by augmented reality technology from TELiBrahma that unites “Augmenting real world with digital engagements” to deliver a unique and interactive experience for readers.

When users scan the cover page of the magazine from their Smartphone or Tablet device using the intARact app, the cover page editorial will come alive into an interactive experience.

Through this users will be directed to an interesting poll, which features a special story on “The Greatest Indian after Gandhi”. Users will also be directed to the Wikipedia page where they can access additional information even on the move. A feedback page is also available for users to state their opinion.

Commenting on the tie-up, Narasimha Suresh, CEO & Founder, TELiBrahma, said “Partnering with Outlook is a proud moment for us. They are the first magazine to augment their cover page giving their readers an exciting, interesting way to know more than just what is available in the magazine. Outlook is no longer just a static magazine but is intARactive through our world's lightest and most powerful AR browser”.

“We are happy to be the first newsmagazine to extend AR to our readers, AR creates an opportunity for magazines to interact with readers and create a virtual experience while reading,” said Indranil Roy, President, Outlook Group.
