Till now City Bhaskar in Gujarat was available with Divya Bhaskar in Ahmedabad only. The need for such a product in Surat and Vadodara has been felt for some time.
Surat is the famous for its Diamond & Textile industry. It is also well known for its Philanthropic and Social Welfare activities. On the other side Vadodara is the only city in Gujarat with an English Medium University (MSU) which is well known nationally and internationally. It boasts of a population with a cosmopolitan bent of mind including a huge student population. The city shows a major inclination towards art, culture and heritage and that is reflected in it hosting the highest number of art exhibitions in the country.
Speaking on the City Bhaskar launch in Surat and Vadodara, Saras Sethi, State Head Gujarat said, “Surat and Vadodara, with their own unique population mix, professional outlook and inclination were considered ripe for a product like City Bhaskar. As the name suggest focuses on the city and hence is unique to the city. It takes into account the city highlights, cultural and social milieu, the youth segment needs and is crafted specially for the city. It addresses and the content mix reflects the city dynamics including entertainment news and events. Thus City Bhaskar a 4 page all colour broadsheet magazine circulated with the main issue every day, captures the local essence of each city and connects strongly with readers, helping the brand strongly connect with the readers”.
