Not a day passes without us reading shocking headlines about crime in newspapers or watching television channels screaming about rapes and heinous acts. How can we change things?

That’s the question that has inspired Life OK’s brand new show that’s aimed at helping you and I fight crimes by equipping ourselves with knowledge of how the criminal mind functions!

`Savdhan India’, anchored by Sushant Singh and Gaurav Chopra, premieres on Monday, 23rd April at 11PM narrating real-life crime stories that have held the nation to ransom, that have made stepping out after-dark hard for women, that have made sending children to school without fear of abuse hard for parents, and retiring in peace unthinkable for senior citizens.

Savdhan India is not just another show, it’s a campaign against crime and violence in India, to warn people and make them aware of these inglorious incidents that have happened to others and their environment and could happen to them. It’s to draw the nation’s attention and wake them from their slumber. It’s to make them realise this is not ‘okay’.

The show kickstarted with a unique ‘Protest against Crime’ march led by its anchors, Sushant and Gaurav at Jantar Mantar at 10:30 am on April 23. Delhi’s eminent citizens including Kiran Bedi, Neelam Pratap Rudy, Madhu Jain and others were there at Jantar Mantar to support the cause and the show.

Speaking about the show Kiran Bedi said, “It is a well timed and much needed initiative and it is shocking while at the same time it drives the message home.”

“Through initiatives like these the TV channels can showcase a variety of situations, solutions and alternatives for people when dealing with crime,” she added.

She also said that communities can come together and assist in reporting and handling crime by being more sensitive and aware of what goes on around them

“We at Life OK believe our families are everything and without them, there’s no fun in life. The best gift we can give to our viewers is, equip them with knowledge on how to safeguard oneself. The gift of family is what we want to share,” says Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK.
