publive-imageArindam Chaudhuri, who owns Planman Group and business school Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM), has become the Delhi franchise owner for the all new motor sport racing league i1 Super Series, an initiative of Machdar Motorsports. The Delhi franchisee is the second team to be confirmed for the i1 Super Series after actor Shah Rukh Khan became the Mumbai franchise holder.

The highly anticipated i1 Super Series, charted on the popular city based franchisee format, will have nine teams representing nine different cities with each team having a driver of Indian origin and an International driver per car marking a new dimension to Indian motor sport.

Announcing the partnership, Anjana Reddy, Director, Machdar Motorsports, said, "Planman and Arindam Chaudhuri make a fantastic addition to the i1 Super Series. Additionally, Arindam's IIPM is one the leading business schools in India and the i1 Super Series is a perfect platform for them to further enhance their brand. Motorsport has got a strong following amongst the youth of the country which should highly benefit IIPM.”

Chaudhuri commented, “The concept looks very innovative and intriguing. We are always looking for ways to reach out to new audiences and the i1 Super Series is the right platform to help us do so. Our company Planman Stars has already been in sports for more than two years now.  This is a perfect vehicle for it to strengthen its foothold in sports.”
