'Rajasthan Patrika' continuously losing readership from two consecutive quarters in its home state.

publive-imageNo.1 daily of Rajasthan, 'Rajasthan Patrika' is losing its readership from two consecutive quarters in its home state. After losing 1.09 lakh readers in the last quarter results of IRS, the daily has again lost 1.55 lakh readers in IRS Q1 2011. Patrika's current AIR stands at 68.71 lakh as compared to 70.26 lakh in the previous quarter and 65.93 lakh in IRS Q1 2010.

The second largest read daily of the state 'Dainik Bhaskar' has not been able to hold its readers consistently. After adding 2.75 lakh new readers in the last survey, the daily has lost 67,000 readers in this quarter. Its current AIR stands at 63.12 lakh as compared to 63.79 lakh in the previous quarter and 60 lakh in IRS Q1 2010.

At No.3 is 'Dainik Navjyoti' with an AIR of 4.95 lakh in IRS Q1 2011 as compared to 4.44 lakh in the previous quarter and 3.65 lakh in Q1 of IRS 2010.

publive-imageNation's No.1 English daily 'The Times of India' is at No.4 position in Rajasthan Market with an AIR of 2.26 lakh in IRS Q1 2011 as compared to 2.11 lakh in previous quarter and 1.81 lakh in Q1 2010.

The new No.5 is Hindi daily 'Punjab Kesri' which has replaced Daily News by adding 6.7% more readers in IRS Q1 2011. Its AIR now stands at 1.92 lakh as compared to 1.8 lakh in the previous quarter and 1.76 lakh in IRS Q1 2010.

At No.6 is 'Daily News' with an AIR of 1.71 lakh in IRS Q1 2011 as compared to 1.89 lakh in the previous quarter and 1.59 lakh in Q1 2010.

'News Today' is at No.7 position with an AIR of 1.40 lakh. The paper has lost 9,000 readers in the current quarter. The paper had an AIR of 1.49 lakh in the previous quarter and 1.6 lakh in IRS Q1 2010.

At no 8 is 'Rashtradoot' with an AIR of 1,12,000 in the first quarter of IRS 2011 as compared to 78,000 in the previous quarter.

Nation's no. 2 English daily 'Hindustan Times' is at 9th spot in the Rajasthan Market with an AIR of 51,000 in IRS Q1 2011 as compared to 43,000 in the previous quarter and Q1 of IRS 2010.

Trailing at No.10 position is English daily 'DNA' with an AIR of 37,000. The paper had an AIR of 34,000 in the last quarter.
